Dances with Leaves

In this photo, there is my friends JP and Christopher Medley. What they did was grab a huge pile of leaves and then i had them throw it up in the air and spin around in circles throwing their arms everywhere. This photo is figurative because there is nothing bizarre about it.
JP and Christopher are on opposing sides of the picture to make it balanced. The leaves were thrown in the air just for fun and to make the photo more interesting. once again I tried to make this as focused as I could, but since they were moving it became unfocused a little bit.
If I had anything to communicate through this image, it would be to just go out and have fun because you don't have a lot of time as a teen so you got to live it up. The only reason I made this image dark was so the you can see them better and so they would pop out more. I took this photo outside in front of the library at a bench.
I think this is my best photo so far just because it came out exactly how I wanted it to. It could be a bit better if I had more going on in the background, but either way it's my favorite so far.

In this image, you see JP (Jean-Paul) jumping through the air as I was panning the camera. You can't really see the background; except for JP's arm kind of blurry. this image is figurative because there's nothing weird about it.
On the left, JP is doing some weird running thing and i caught him in the middle of the jump. The image came out really contrasty, so i had to make it darker when I was in photoshop. I tried to make it as focused as possible as i was panning, but I think I may have been standing still when I took it.
I never really have anything to communicate to the audience because 1 can't speak english. I've never had a chance to make a photograph with a meaning yet. this picture was taken  outdoors but I forget where it was taken.
I could've done way better on the printing part because it came out way too bright at first and I had to darken it when I was in photoshop. This photo became successful when i photoshopped it.

In this picture, there's a bee in the center with its wings spread out like its about to fly away. Also, the bee is in a bush around a bunch of leaves. I don't know whether to call this figurative or abstract, but I'd have to go with figurative because I don't see anything abstract about it.
There's a lot of organic shapes, not any really straight lines. I made the picture a little bit brighter in the adobe photo shop. I intentionally put the bee in focus, and i was trying to make the background more out of focus, but i messed up a little bit and made the foreground less in focus.
I want people to get their own message from this because there's many different things that I could say with this photo. I think this image is light because the light s reflecting off of the leaves and making the photo more interesting. This photo was taken outside; we found a bush with a bunch of bees and i was determined to get a picture of a bee.
I think I could have done better by making the bee more in focus, and getting a closer shot of the bee so you can see it better. Next time, I'm also going to expose the picture a bit longer so it comes out better.

The Jumping Banana

In this photograph, Chase is jumping off of a bench.
Well, I had to darken the tone in photoshop because I used a fast shutter speed and used a low f-stop, which made the picture come out to bright.
I didn't have any specific reason why i chose this picture, but if I had a reason it would be just because it looks fun. This picture was taken outdoors by the Circle of the Sun.
I think that my work is alright; there's so many things I could have done to make this picture come out better. For now I'm not going to worry about it that much and just accept that this wasn't that great of a photo.

Chase Chilling

What I see in this photograph is my friend, Chase, chilling on a bench and one of the security guys at our school driving by in one of the golf carts. Chase and the golf cart are far away from each other. I find this photograph to be figurative, it's pretty straight forward.
What I'm aiming to say is that it's better to chill than be worried about everything.
I think this is pretty good for my first photograph ever, but i still need to work on figuring out how to use the shutter speeds better.
